New Self Reporting Live Reviews
Posted On: December 20, 2024
Exciting news! We’ve launched the new self-reporting feature for live review URLs. This means you can now easily submit your review links, making the process much faster and smoother for everyone.
You can watch a 1-minute video overview in our new help article.
Why the change? Recently, Amazon updated its website, making it impossible for us to verify reviews without tracking directly back to our Amazon accounts. Your account security is our top priority, so we’ve adapted quickly to ensure your reviews appear completely organic to Amazon. You can learn more about that in the previous member news article on this topic.
While we had other features planned for this year, we prioritized this update to keep your accounts safe and your reviews visible.
Here is how review confirmation will work from today forwards:
- You submit your review on our site as normal at the same time you submit it on Amazon.
- The Review Title and Review Content are no longer required fields because we will automatically gather this information when your review is confirmed in step 3. This should make submitting your review from a mobile or tablet device much easier; however, please keep in mind that you can not see your review after you submit it to Amazon. You may want to copy and paste the content of your review to our website so you have a copy for your records while you wait for your review to become publicly visible. Having a copy of your review can really be handy if you have an issue submitting it or getting it to show publicly on Amazon.
- After you submit your review, you’ll see a new area in your Books I’m Reviewing page that asks you to provide the URL to your live review found on Amazon. You have ten days to submit the public URL. If you are not able to submit your URL in that time period, the tokens for that book review will be deducted from your account and returned to the book’s author.
- Amazon will email you when your review becomes publicly visible, usually 2 to 10 days after you submit it. If you click the yellow “See your full review” button in that email, you will be directed to the public page of your review. You can copy and paste that URL into the field shown in the form on our website, and your review will automatically be confirmed.
- If you prefer you can also forward your Amazon email to reviews@getbooksreviewed.com and we will enter the URL for you within 1-2 business days. This approach is slightly more convenient, but also adds a short wait time before your review gets confirmed. If you are close to your deadline it’s best to paste the URL directly into our website.
- If you leave the live review URL directly on our website your review will be confirmed instantly so long as there are no issues.
This new feature replaces the previous manual confirmation process, making it faster and more efficient for everyone. We prioritize the safety of your Amazon accounts, and this change allows us to adapt to Amazon’s recent policy updates while ensuring your reviews are seen as authentic.
You may notice that some of your reviews are past due. We are temporarily letting members catch up on past-due reviews until the end of the year, but on the 1st, any reviews that go past due will automatically have the tokens deducted from your account and returned to the author.
